888sport is essentially a white label version of Blue Square, but with a larger focus the whole of Europe, whereas Blue Sq largely cater to a UK audience.
The joint-venture allows 888 to add a sportsbook offering to provide a complete package alongside its casino, poker, bingo and backgammon products, while for Blue Square, it gives them the opportunity to launch into international markets for the first time.
