Armenia can give themselves hope of qualifying for Euro 2012 with a win over Macedonia this evening.
Armenia produced one of the most impressive results of the current Euro 2012 qualifying campaign when they beat Slovakia 4-0 in Zilina in the last round of matches. That result has left Verdan Menasyan's side in the hitherto unthinkable position of being on the verge of qualifying for the playoffs to next summer's tournament in Poland and Ukraine.
Two wins, againt Macedonia and Republic of Ireland, would guarantee that Armenia are in the playoff draw and it is 4/6, at
bet365, that they claim the first on Friday, in the Hrazdan Stadium.
The home side will be fancied to claim all three points, having only lost one of their four matches in front of their own fans. The fact that they lost to Macedonia in Skopje is perhaps a reason to think that the visitors can upset the party, at odds of 4/1 for the win or 11/4 for the draw.
