Czech Republic take on Lithuania this evening.
Czech Republic are currently third in Euro 2012 qualifying Group I but with second placed Scotland having to travel to Spain to face the world champions there is a strong chance that they will leapfrog their rivals, providing that they beat Lithuania on Tuesday.
It is 4/7, at
bet365, that the Czechs win in Kaunas and they really have to be fancied. They outplayed Scotland at Hampden Park last month and, although they only claimed a point via a last minute penalty, they should have won in Glasgow. The movement of Milan Baros, Tomas Rosicky and Tomas Pekhart was too much for the Scots' defenders and they should be far too strong for Lithuania.
The hosts are 5/1 to cause a massive upset but they simply lack the ability to really hurt their opponents. Yes, they won in Prague but that was simply down to a woeful performance from the Czechs. The loss away to Liechtenstein was more of a true reflection of Lithuania's ability.
Raimondas Zutautas's side have scored just three times in seven Euro 2012 qualifiers and even a draw, at odds of 11/4, is probably beyond the home side. Unfortunately for Scottish fans, it doesn't look like they will be getting any help on Tuesday evening.
