Racing Santander v Manchester City betting latest

Matthew Glazier - 15 Dec 2008

Mark Hughes’ team might have landed a 2-0 win away to Schalke, although they are likely to revert to their usual selves on the road for this game. City have already qualified for the last-32 stage of the UEFA Cup and could easily field a weakened team for the match in Spain, especially with their Premier League position dropping every week. Racing are 10/11 (Betfred) to land the win which will ensure that they join their opponents in the knockout stages.

Not that Santander are playing particularly well at the moment, as their lowly Primera Liga status will testify. Indeed, they have failed to win any of their Group A matches to date, with Manchester City 10/3 (Coral) to put them out of their misery and 11/4 (bet365) to bag a draw. Benjani is 8/1 (bet365) to open the scoring for the visitors, while Robinho is 17/2 (bet365) to get his side off the mark.
